yeah...sticker reached! buy it from eBay last week.

Genuine sticker indeed.. buy it from 2 different person, but same from HK.

ahh...now i no need afraid of takin out my old sticker on my laptop. also i can put it on my desktop casing..haha..
anyone wan the vista sticker? dont tink i need it. cos it comes free wit nvidia geforce go 7300 sticker.

anyway, from the 2nd pic, c the nvidia geforce go 7300 sticker? hmm..there is another type of sticker which is quite similar, but very rare one.

total plus shippin will be around $3 to $4 per piece per shippin.

somehow thinkin of getting sort of device tat can measure how much the current or watt the thing consume. so research n got this Kill-A-Watt meter. but than dont seems tat this is for s'pore becos of the 3-pin is different from us.

suddenly i found from hardwarezone forums, got ppl discussin abt where to get power consumption meter so as to find out which thing consumes alot of electricity. i than went on readin the post.

so one of the post comparin these 2 device.

so after lookin at this 2 meter, i decided to get this. cost price is $23.49. much cheaper n looks easy to use becos of only 3 buttons.

delivery charge wil be $5 if below $30. browse through the website but nth to get also. so total it up n paid $30.48. anyway this one i buy is the last stock in s'pore.

yeah...it deliver the next day! 1 april. hopefully it's not April Fool. LOL!
do u knw tat decrease in bus & train fare also start 1 april? haha... i thought it is a surprise of April Fool lo.. :P

photo blogging time...

ahh!!! sometimes its damm suai tat my graphics card up lorry! so i hav no choice but to send it for repair(can say change the board) at PCDreams for 350 bucks. sian! but well, worth it if everythings works as normal, y not? haha..

so decided to look at the service guide(in PDF format) tat i hav dl'ed sometime ago. after tat, not really understand wat the service guide say, so search again for vids. thanks for the guy at notebookreview forum which uploads the vids again for disassembly of the whole unit. so watch it as i go.

the mainboard still intact wit the bottom case.

optical drive, upper case, keyboard.

the 3 chips under the heatsink (graphics, chipset, cpu)

take a clear look at the cpu. it is socketed! so it means the cpu is upgradeable.

ahh...modify abit. i shift the black sheet towards the rite abit to create more room for the air.

the chip below wireless card. tink this is the chip tat manage all the peripherals. n also a few cpu is compatible wit this chip.

not sure whether is it Acer or PCDreams person who did this! put copper sheet instead of thermal pad. no wonder after i get back, my graphics temp go so high!!!

the thermal grease on copper sheet is to try it out whether it will improve or not, but stil same! c beside the thick thermal pad? yeah...tat is the one best for the graphics card. i change it to graphics side.

Arctic Cooling MX-2!

thanks to someone in hardwarezone who import this in. now he only hav a few. so get it b4 its gone! becos u wil hav to import it yrself from US if u wan. not sure sim lim square hav or not. mayb u google it. haha..

as til now to date, this MX-2 is better than Arctic Silver 5. believe it?

brought this from ebay. Thermal Conductive Pad. it comes from hong kong.

lol..recently brought lot of stuff from ebay, which is import from overseas.

yeah...finally i got to upgrade my desktop cpu to dual core, AMD Athlon 64 X2 939-pin(its a 2nd hand). this cpu is no longer in production ler. so if u wan, u hav to get it from ebay which is from US. in less than 200 bucks, u can get it ler.

thickness is 2mm. actually there is a gap between the graphics/chipset and heatsink. so need to get this thick thermal pad to fill the gap.

*a tips to ppl getting stuff from overseas(eg. ebay), make sure they post/mail out the stuff on fri(tat means u hav to complete the transaction on early friday or earlier), becos the cargo flight wil only fly on friday to singapore. unless tat person is not using normal mail, which it start flying next day. if tat person mail out on sat, than u hav to wait for 11 days including weekends. normally it wil reach yr mailbox on wednesday.

btw anyone who owns acer aspire 5580 series, if u hav hardware related problem or need maintenance or upgrade, u can ask me, but i will be charging a small fee.
